AMAL – Algarve’s Intermunicipal Community


Law graduate, at University of Coimbra, he did the Portuguese Bar Association’s internship and worked in Tavira. Later, he got a post-graduation degree in Business Management, University of the Algarve. He is head inspector of Social Security’s Inspections Services.
Between 1996 and 2000, he worked as member of Algarve’s Social Security Services’ Board of Directors, being the Regional Manager of Faro’s Centre, between 2001 and 2002 and May 2005 and October 2009. Currently, he is:
Tavira’s Town Hall President, since 2009.
Executive Board’s President of Algarve’s Intermunicipal Community (AMAL) since 2009.
Responsible for the National Coordination of the International Movement Cittaslow.
Member of the Executive Board for the Algarve’s Hydrographical Region.
